There is so much going on along the Yonge Street strip and we love being a part of it.
One of the many exciting condo projects is Five Condominium at 5 St Joseph Street, conveniently located between Yonge Street and Bay Street and a short walk to the subway station.
Heritage architect Michael McClelland feels that Five Condos at 5 St. Joseph will set a new standard for future development along the bustling Yonge Street strip.
Part of what makes this space unique is that it is preserving a stretch of 19th century buildings on Yonge Street, plus the 1905 gothic revival brick face of an old warehouse on St Joseph Street.
Five Condos will combine five brick buildings along Yonge that date back to the 1870s. The refurbished structures will house new stores, and will be home to 14 residential units on the second and third floors.
Five Condos’ inclusion of heritage elements has given it a competitive edge, helping the building to stand out in Toronto’s very crowded condo market.
Five Condos is home to suites that range from 600 sq. ft. one-bedrooms to 1,700 sq. ft. two bedroom + penthouses, and ranging from $400,000 to $1.3 million. And most of them sold quickly.
Completed in 2015, Five Condos boasts 539 suites on 48 floors, many with spectacular views of Toronto.

In April 2016, five condo suites were sold via Toronto’s MLS system.
About half way up the 5 St Joseph condominium building, a one bedroom suite was sold for $377,000. This sale did not include a parking spot nor a storage locker. The suite faced west.
On a lower floor at Five Condos, a one bedroom suite sold for $402,500. This luxury unit enjoyed a southern exposure and was a 615 square foot floor plan. No locker nor parking was included with this sale.
On a very high floor at 5 St Joseph, a one bedroom suite was sold for $440,000. The monthly condo fee for this 580 square foot suite was $299.75.
On a lower floor at Five Condominium, a two bedroom, two bathroom suite sold for $570,000. This suite enjoyed a western exposure. The selling price did not include an underground parking space nor a storage locker.
Near the very top of 5 St Joseph Street, a one bedroom plus den suite was sold for $598,500. The owner of this luxury suite also included a locker and parking spot. This layout was 669 square feet and faced east.
