Scott has quickly become a true advocate of living and investing in Pickering and all of Durham. Perfectly Situated

For homebuyers the main thing to know about Durham real estate is that there are still many opportunities here to achieve good value for your investment. But folks of all budgets are starting to see the phenomenal value… so we’re now seeing some rapidly rising sale prices.

By car or by train, the commute to Toronto can be relatively quick and convenient. Plus you have the opportunity to put yourself in a much bigger house than you might be able to afford in the city proper – with a family friendly environment that includes plenty of parkland and amenities – and for work your access to the city is by no means unreasonable.

Inclusive Character

It’s also worth noting that the trends have been towards increasing values across the region. So buyers can expect to see reasonable increases on their investment. The Durham real estate market includes a huge variety of options and a real range of considerations. Our starting point is to work with clients to assure their comfort in living out of the city in an environment that feels anything from small-town, to suburban, to rural.

Enjoy the Amenities
.
One promise we can make and enjoy pointing out, is that from an amenities point of view, there is very little that you might expect from the downtown core that you won’t find quite conveniently in Durham Region. It’s a growing and dynamic blend of communities where people that we’ve met are genuinely happy to live.
.
Talking about the specifics of Durham region is difficult, mainly due to the huge variety of communities included here. But there are a few things to look for. Check out the extensive parkland along the lakefront for instance. The expertly maintained lands are beautiful and well appreciated by local residents. On any day you’ll find cyclists, strollers, walkers and runners, picnickers and relaxers all enjoying the beautiful view and well-kept greenery.
.
As well, it’s worth noting that significant parts of Durham Region are and will remain rural. So you can expect to see some cows from time to time, depending on where you drive, run or cycle.
.
There is also plenty of infrastructure in place in the cultural sector, sporting and recreational facilities, shopping and dining.
