The Weir Team also uses Facebook Custom Audiences to deliver targeted ads to The Weir Team users, who are also Facebook users. This requires The Weir Team to provide a minimal amount of information (e.g., name and email address) to Facebook so that it can determine which users are also Facebook users. This information is “hashed” before it is provided to Facebook, is deleted once the matching process is complete, and is not used for any other purpose by Facebook or third-party.
