PIPED ACT

The Weir Team follow a code for the protection of personal information, which is included in PIPED Act. The code was developed by business, consumers, academics, and government under the auspices of the Canadian Standards Association.

INTEREST-BASED ADVERTISING

The Weir Team works with advertising networks and publishers to serve targeted display ads for  Weir Team products and services on third-party websites. Third parties may use cookies or web beacons to collect non-personally identifiable information (e.g., click stream information, browser type, time and date) about users’ interactions with products and services on TheWeirTeam.ca to help determine which ads are likely to be most interesting to you. The Weir Team also uses Facebook Custom Audiences to deliver targeted ads to The Weir Team users, who are also Facebook users. This requires The Weir Team to provide a minimal amount of information (e.g., name and email address) to Facebook so that it can determine which users are also Facebook users. This information is “hashed” before it is provided to Facebook, is deleted once the matching process is complete, and is not used for any other purpose by Facebook or third-party. You can opt-out of this process by clicking on the icon on the top right corner of the ads from The Weir Team that you see on Facebook. CONSENT

By providing Personal Information to The Weir Team, the individual is consenting to its collection, use, and disclosure in accordance with this Privacy Policy. In that circumstance, The Weir Team may not be able to offer certain information or services to the individual.
