Property values at The Ramsden Condominium, 980 Yonge Street, January and February 2016

Condo buildings in downtown Toronto are certainly plentiful. Luckily in the Bloor Yorkville real estate market each condo tower is unique. After many years of giving condo buyers and condo seller excellent service and guidance, Cameron Weir and Scott Hanton have gotten to know every building very well.

The Ramsden is one of our favourites. More refined, quieter and elegant than some of the newer towers, 980 Yonge Street is often the ideal address for condo buyers looking for more than an average box in the sky. It’s a stone’s throw from Rosedale subway station and is home to a more sophisticated crowd than other Bloor Yorkville condo buildings. But it’s still a 2 minute walk to Yonge and Bloor and everything downtown Toronto has to offer.

With all of the condo buildings to choose from, it’s very important for all Toronto condo buyers and Toronto condo sellers to receive excellent guidance.

The Weir Team knows this area almost better than we know ourselves. We’ve had years of experience and years of outstanding rave reviews for our services to all real estate buyers and sellers.

Property values and selling prices are affected by many factors. In Toronto, each building, each intersection, each street is really its own real estate market. It’s important to understand how one building’s value is different than another… and why. Luckily The Weir Team has years of experience with this and has a great understanding of values for every building.

For now, let’s zero in on The Ramsden and take a look at selling prices in January and February 2016.

Only two condo suites were sold during this time period.

A 712 sq ft suite on a higher floor sold for $395,000. The suite had only one bedroom, one bathroom, a storage locker but no parking spot.

And a similar sized one bedroom suite on a lower floor also sold during this time for $466,000. It was more updated than the other suite and came with a parking spot as well as a storage locker.
