The first half of the month of May 2015 saw an active month for those selling a house in Ajax, Ontario.

There were 124 successful real estate sales according to the MLS system for freehold homes.

The most expensive property sold was for $828,000 for a beautifully upgraded detached house in northeast Ajax. Following that, there were multiple house sales over $700,000 and $800,000. Those Ajax houses were sold on Hibbins Avenue, Bignell Crescent, Mawby Street, Selby Drive, Sillett Drive, Weston Crescent, Halliday Street, Bevan Crescent, Hearson Street, Peacock Crescent, Welsh Street, Ebony Street and Annie Crescent.

The least expensive houses sold were found on George Street, Elm Street, Woodhouse Crescent, Thorncroft Crescent, Hurley Road, Thorp Crescent, Silverster Street, Rossland Road East, Burtonbury Lane, Carpendale Crescent, Church Street North, Admiral Road, Emporor Street, Dobson Drive, Delaney Drive, Whittingdon Court, Boyd Crescent, Dowers Drive, Finley Avenue and Beadle Drive. All of these Ajax, Ontario houses were sold for $400,000 or less.

Clearly there are still some great options for buyers in Durham Region to find houses under $400,000 in Ajax.

The average selling price of a house in Ajax during this period was $530,745. Most houses had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The average time it took to sell a house in Ajax was 11 days on the market during the first half of May 2015.

95 of the houses sold in Ajax were detached, 16 houses sold in Ajax were row houses or town houses, 2 were linked and 11 were semi-detached houses in Ajax.

Real estate sales in Ajax were most active in Southeast Ajax, Northeast Ajax and Central West Ajax.

Some of the busier streets for real estate transactions in Ajax during the first half of 2015 were Andrea Road, Armitage Crescent, Beadle Drive, Bowles Drive, Boyd Crescent, Dobson Drive, Dreyer Drive, Elliottglen Drive, Hibbins Avenue, Mill Street, Monk Crescent and Muscat Crescent.
